There's going to be a screening of Trembling Before God Thursday, October 30, at 7:00 pm, at the Harvard Film Archive, 24 Quincy Street. It's followed by discussion and DVD signing with director Sandi DuBowski. Tickets are $4, available 10/16 with Harvard ID at Harvard Box Office (HBO), and to the general public 10/30 and at the door.
Is anyone interested in going? If so, know anyone with a Harvard ID?
Also, Rabbi Steve Greenberg will speak on Homosexuality in Jewish law, Tuesday, November 4, 7:00pm Harvard Hillel, 52 Mt. Auburn St. "Rabbi Greenberg, featured in Trembling Before God, is the first openly gay Orthodox rabbi. His upcoming book on the subject, "Of Wrestling With God and Men," will hit stores in February."
I've heard him speak, and he's an engaging speaker. I can't make it to the talk, but thought someone might be interested.

Date: 2003-10-15 08:41 am (UTC)Interested. I am just checking with my R (who lives next door to you) because we had plans for that evening and I am seeing if she would like to go too.

Date: 2003-10-15 11:27 am (UTC)And yes, figuring out a possible sleep over can happen much closer to the actual date. I generally prefer to have at least 24 hours notice, so you've got lots of time :-)

I hope you get completely better today!
