There's going to be a screening of Trembling Before God Thursday, October 30, at 7:00 pm, at the Harvard Film Archive, 24 Quincy Street. It's followed by discussion and DVD signing with director Sandi DuBowski. Tickets are $4, available 10/16 with Harvard ID at Harvard Box Office (HBO), and to the general public 10/30 and at the door.
Is anyone interested in going? If so, know anyone with a Harvard ID?

Also, Rabbi Steve Greenberg will speak on Homosexuality in Jewish law, Tuesday, November 4, 7:00pm Harvard Hillel, 52 Mt. Auburn St. "Rabbi Greenberg, featured in Trembling Before God, is the first openly gay Orthodox rabbi. His upcoming book on the subject, "Of Wrestling With God and Men," will hit stores in February."
I've heard him speak, and he's an engaging speaker. I can't make it to the talk, but thought someone might be interested.

Even if you can't find someone else to go with you - if you haven't seen this film, *go*.

I have seen it; it came to the Coolidge Corner Theater (an independent theater in Brookline) months (Over a year? I can't keep track.) ago. I'm just not sure I'd like to go again if I'd be going alone.

What did you think of it?

I'm interested, AND I have a Harvard ID :) They never took it when I left, and there's no "Expires:" thingy on it.

Pick me! Pick me!

Interested. I am just checking with my R (who lives next door to you) because we had plans for that evening and I am seeing if she would like to go too.

Would you be willing to pick up tickets, once there's a bit more of a headcount? I can front you the money; I'd just like to have the security of having the tickets in advance.

Cool; leave a comment here once you know one way or the other?

Since you'll still be having the commute-from-hell at that point (I think), let me know if you'd like crash-space that night, too :-).

R and I are definitely up for it. Can you get us two tix and we will pay you back?

Thank you so much for your sleep over offer. I will have to see how next week shapes up, can I let you know closer to the date?

Let me just double-check the ID for any sort of date on it (I'm sure there's none, but am paranoid). And, sure, I can do that :) I was hoping the damn thing would come in useful.

Tix: yes, of course.

And yes, figuring out a possible sleep over can happen much closer to the actual date. I generally prefer to have at least 24 hours notice, so you've got lots of time :-)

Me, me, me! I want to go, too! I was dying to see this movie when it first came out. I'll talk to Paulo to see if he would be interested, too.

Cool! I hope he can come too :-).

I'm hoping Hrafn can pick up tickets early next week, so knowing by the end of the weekend would be good :-).

I hope you get completely better today!
