The menu:
wine (not yet chosen from the dishwasher)
multigrain challah with flaxseed meal
split pea soup
chicken breasts and/or turkey thighs (roasted with peaches, almonds, candied ginger, ginger syrup, amaretto, and a touch of hot sauce)
edamame in the pod
roasted red pepper and broccoli
a melange of onion, mushroom, and roasted eggplant with a touch of spiciness
green salad
cookies from Tabrizi's
pineapple

Notes:
I still have to steam the edamame, cut up the pineapple, and assemble the salad. If I'd started the pea soup earlier, it would've hit meltdown in time for me to have put butternut squash in it. Ah, well.
I ate all the Brussels sprouts; sometimes it's too hard to share... :-)

Flaxseed meal is nifty. Unfortunately, no-one in my house will eat it but me.

There's no way my challah is going to be ready by sundown. Oh well. Shabbat Shalom!

I'm surprised that someone finds flaxseed meal objectionable. I mean, I toss some into bread, and other than being visually noticeable, the flavor isn't incredibly different.

I hope your challah comes out well, whenever it does (I make myself start the dough before work, so it can go into the oven soon after I get home, then move on to the milichig/fleishig things after that).

Shabbat Shalom!
