The first seder featured the plague of flying marshmallows, and lots of plastic bugs, not to mention amazing new uses for T-shirts, and more energy from the under -12-year-old crew than I would've previously thought possible.

The second seder went ok, despite my nervousness about leading. I'd forgotten parsley for karpas, and substituted scallion, which worked well. Mostly, though, it's a bit of a blur; I think I was far too keyed up to remember most of the details, though it was the first time the Simpsons were cited at a seder I was at.

The first of the middle days was also the day of going East (I never have understood that name). I was gifted with a box made of cloves and cinnamon, worthy of any Wise Man, and successfully foisted leftovers. Two thumbs up for Bend It Like Beckham, too.

Patriot's Day today meant a quick commute, with so few people on the roads. It being marathon day means that a bit of road I drive most mornings and afternoons was cured of its potholes, since it is on the race route. Now if the rest of the roads would follow suit...

I saw a clov box when I was in origins in harvard square. I really wanted it, but I couldn't determine any real use for it to validate the purchase. If you come up with one, let me know pronto!

So far, I haven't thought of much. I'm likely to use it as a spice box for havdalah (separating Shabbat from the rest of the week, during which spices are sniffed), the irony being that the box is the spices, rather than merely containing them.

The other stuff I've thought of are silly, like notepaper (to have scented paper for writing letters), or jewelry (so to have the effect of perfume when wearing said jewelry, kinda).
