Happily, I have been invited out for all dinners. And there was no way I'd be sure I'd be ready to host guests so soon after returning, so I'm cooking lunches for just me. I started about an hour and a quarter ago, and most of the hands-on work is done, plus I can supplement with pickled foods (I don't avoid sours during RH, though I know some do).

- boneless chicken thighs* sauteed with onions^, garlic, sweet potato*, boozy apricots^*, and boozy jalapeno^*, with some black pepper
- roasted onion, Asian eggplant^*, and yellow pepper^*
- baked delicata squash^* with maple syrup
- sauerkraut^* and/or carrot^* and garlic scape^* pickles
- corn^* and tomato^* salad
- fruit liqueurs, especially apple
- frozen juice bars
