Catherynne M. Valente is writing a new novel, The Girl Who Circumnavigated Fairyland in a Ship of Her Own Making, posting a chapter a week (on Mondays). It's powered by donations, and she's hit some hard times.

Also, Yonah Lavery is an artist who is raising money to fund studying in Jerusalem. She is selling poster versions of her Talmud comics.

There's a lot of cool comics there. I admit, I'd be more tempted by a book(let) than a poster (or postcards, maybe?), given how much wall space is available in my apartment...
