LJ assimilation

I dreamed last night, some story or another that I'm already completely fuzzy about. The part that is most vivid is how while that was going on, I was also composing my LJ post about it. Of course, there had to be some twist: I was making my post into a Mad Libs thing, and trying to figure out how to work having the blanks with the little descriptors...

I suppose now I'm going to have to try that sometime, and everyone can put their words in the comments.

Medical questions

Before having an MRI, there are lots of medical questions. Some of them were normal: do I have asthma, stuff like that. Some of them were more strange: have I ever had metal in my eye, even rust? Have I ever had brain clips?

Brain clips? Eek. I keep picturing some doctor using binder clips during brain surgery...

They're very concerned about any metal I might've had with me (watch, jewelry, glasses, underwire), but never mentioned fillings. I assume that those are made out of something very inert, but even so...

Topsy-turvy universe

Not only is the government pushing for a day of fasting to gain insight from the Lord (really, it's true), but there is another rent in reality happening. No, not the encroachment on civil liberties, Muslim residents of the US possibly disappearing, all sorts of steps towards a scary police state, nor even a new scary virus out of Asia, but something really bad: a Wonder Woman makeover. Yes, it's true. She's gotten a haircut, glasses, and a camouflage bustier, among other things. She's even lost the wrist guards! (article and photo here). The world will not be the same.
