Farm share, week 4

• three enormous heads of romaine lettuce
  
• seventeen hakurei turnips (ranging from tiny to medium small)
  
• two light green summer squash
  
• three bunches of bright lights Swiss chard
  
• two green medium kohlrabi
  
• two bunches of purple "Torpedo" onions with partial greens
  
• a handful of garlic scapes
  
• two bunches of Red Russian kale
  
• a quart of cherries (Fix Bros Fruit Farm)
  
• a pint of blueberries (Kosinski Farms)

First thoughts: lots of green salad. Sauteed chard with onions, maybe mushrooms. Wilted kale salad. Vegan summer fruit cake (though possibly not with the blueberries, which I'm more inclined to eat out of hand (and not share), while the cherries seem to be more useful for cooking).

I signed up to bring Shabbat dinner to a family with a new baby, and am invited to friends whose oven is broken, so I think I'll be able to get through a lot of the leaves fairly immediately.
