Winter farm share, pickup 11 of 12
Mar. 31st, 2021 07:21 pm- a bottle of hot sauce (given away at distribution site; Passover)
- a box of pea shoots (ditto; I wasn't sure whether the shoots are considered kitniyot as well, and don't like them enough to find out)
- three big russet potatoes
- six carrots
- four chioggia beets
- a big bag of spinach
- a big bag of mixed salad greens (from Queens Greens)
First thought: salad with the salad greens (of course), saute the spinach with mushrooms, pickle the carrots and beets, which has the added benefit of making pickles for next Passover if I make them before turning the kitchen over sometime next week.

Granted it usually doesn't come up; if you're clearing stuff out anyway, might as well throw the bag of rice in with the sack of flour or whatever. But even if they're kitniyot, would there have been a problem with you picking them up?
