Farm share, week 2
Jun. 18th, 2014 06:33 pm- a head of Napa cabbage
- two purple kohlrabi with slightly-battered greens
- ten garlic scapes
- two tiny yellow squash
- a bunch of spinach
- five ounces of unbunched spinach (? seems odd to have both)
- a bunch of large dandelion greens
- a small bunch of pea tendrils
- two heads of lettuce (only a non-frilly red-leaf was left, so that's what I got)
- salad mix
Benefits of going on the later side: somewhat infinite amounts of salad mix (there were multiple bins of it left) and another bunch of dandelion greens.
First thoughts: lots of green salad! Saute the dandelions with garlic, kohlrabi greens, and pea tendrils, plus feta and dill. Crunchy salad with napa and kholrabi, possibly with a mustard-based dressing, or perhaps soy sauce and something. Spinach and onion something, perhaps with eggs, or in rice with walnuts.
