Farm share, week 15
Sep. 11th, 2013 06:30 pmIt was interesting watching the the trade box this week. It's often mostly one thing that people aren't interested in, but this week it ranged a lot, and lots of people were trading (including me :-).
I see some roasted ratatouille in my future (not today, though, given the temperature!), and possibly stuffed poblanos and/or delicata. I might dry some tomatoes, or can some; not sure.
- a delicata squash
- a spaghetti squash (traded for an eggplant)
- an eggplant (there were white and black ones; given my trading, I ended up with both colors)
- a bunch of chard (there was a variety of different colors, or rainbow; I traded mine for an eggplant)
- two carrots
- nine "slicer" tomatoes
- two pounds of heirloom tomatoes
- a poblano pepper
- two heads of lettuce (traded for a poblano)
- a bunch of herbs: thyme, sage, or chives (traded for a poblano)
- a third of a pound of arugula
- four long sweet peppers (a mix of Italian (light green) and other long pepper colors)
- three-quarters of a pound of green beans
- a bok choy (traded for an eggplant)
