Shabbat menu

- hummus
- vegetable soup: onion, sweet potato, carrot, kale, parsley, salt and pepper, pureed
- green salad: lettuce, feta,
tangerinepink grapefruit, mixed olives (read: the Butcherie had no kalamatas) - wheat berries with sauteed onions, mushrooms, green peppers, and tomato sauce
- red sauerkraut
- roasted potatoes, red onions, and sweet potatoes
- apple pie with some boozy fruit and marzipan
(Last minute cancellation meant pink grapefruit in the salad, and boozy fruit in the pie. Silver linings...)
Oh, and also, about the last week of fish share, with pickup on Monday: I hadn't mentioned it before, because, for the first time, they had a fish I couldn't use. Monkfish has fins, but no scales. I showed up, and told the guy, who was very apologetic, made a notation on his sheet, and offered me a fish if I came up to Gloucester. As it turns out, this was not necessary, since a woman offered to pay me for the monkfish, so it was a wash. A bit disappointing as an endnote, though.
