We now return you to your regular all-food blog...
For those following along at home, there was no fish share this week due to the snow storm, which kept the boats from going out.
The farm share continues in its largeness.
I hadn't been keeping up with the citrus, so before picking up today's share, I dealt with the extant citrus. I now have a container of mixed lime, tangerine, and orange juices, and four quarts of citrus liqueurs started: lemon, tangerine, orange, and orange-vanilla. Future thoughts for citrus liqueurs include lime, lime-cranberry, lemon-ginger, and grapefruit.
What I did not get around to today: starting a new batch of sauerkraut. I have much cabbage, both red and green, a daikon, carrots, and baby bok choy (not sure why I'm thinking to add this to the mix, but it's definitely appealing). Hopefully tomorrow. Also, given a plethora of carrots, I might do a batch of carrot pickles sometime in the next week as well.
