Shabbat lunch (dairy)
Oct. 30th, 2009 05:05 pm- grape juice (handmade and brought by one of the makers from where it was made in Oregon; does that count as local?)
- challah (white wheat flour with multi-grain flakes)
- zaatar in olive oil, for dipping
- farm-share rutabagas mashed with butter and salt
- farm-share chioggia beets roasted with farm-share onions (I ordered bulk beets, and they sent the one kind I'm iffy about; I'm a bit nervous about these)
- fish-share hake salad with porch chives
- farm-share green salad: red oak lettuce, mizuna, and radicchio, plus some porch chives, and slivered almonds
- etafarm-share red sauerkraut /edit
- apples baked with raisins, cinnamon, walnuts, and dulche de leche caramel sauce
- truffles (see grape juice note)
- tea, dried fruit
