I've been at NHC this week. I've got limited computer time here, and it's time to wind down towards Shabbat, so real posts about the Institute will happen once I'm home again. In short: it's a good week of much learning (both texts and hands-on), interesting conversation, and much Jewish geeking. The downsides include less than adequate amounts of sleep and a rather starch-filled diet of somewhat bland foods.
There are potatoes at every meal (plus pizza and pasta at every non-breakfast, as well as other starches). This morning, for the first time, the potatoes were in the form of Tater Tots. And all I could think of were all those tater parents, wondering what had happened, submitting photos of their kids to be put on milk cartons.
