I'm impressed! How did you pull that off right before Pesach? The logistics have me all flummoxed. What a hearty meal.

The rolls were bought, the soup from the freezer, the sauerkraut was already made (as were the liqueurs), the meatloaf used up things from the fridge, and the cake used up things from the pantry.

I remain impressed! I was so worried about having enough time to leave things for the twenty-four hours, but now it looks like I won't be ready to do the bedikah on time anyway. Wish I knew what to do when everything goes awry! No one's available to answer questions today, it seems. I spent way too much time looking for milk; usually even Market Basket milk is KLP, with the Vaad sticker on top, and this year no brands seem to be, and there's hardly any time left to buy it!

Hey there - this doesn't have much to do with your post, but my family has been invited to a kid-oriented not-terribly-kosher seder on Tuesday night, and asked to bring a vegetable side dish. Got any favorite tsimmes recipes?

Oops, not MB brand, but Garelick, I think it was. Anyway, I finally figured out to look near the sell-by date. Oy. Don't I feel stupid. Sorry for the rambling.

Glad you found what you needed.
(I don't use milk much, so I don't bother for Pesach.)

I don't think I've ever made tsimmes, actually, because I love my mom's version so much, and I'm sure I won't get it right. Hers is a meat version, though, with flanken, sweet potatoes, carrots, onions, Oregon tart prunes, orange juice, honey, and sometimes white potatoes as well.

Thanks for being so nice.

I'm sort of the opposite, in that I don't bother with milk most of the year.

Chag kasher v'sameach!
