Shabbat menu
Jan. 27th, 2006 04:18 pm- wine
- challah
- hummus
- turkey soup with sweet potatoes
- stir fried spicy turkey with shiitakes, green beans, and sugar snap peas
- brown rice
- spinach salad with pink grapefruit (and likely a mustard and lime dressing)
- fruitcake
There's a lack of redness; I overcooked the beets yesterday (distracted by not-a-gas-leak), and didn't get around to making cranberry relish. Oh, well.

notes
Date: 2006-01-28 11:08 pm (UTC)I put scallions into the stir fry instead of sliced red onions, and it would've been better with the onions as well.
The salad had spinach, pink grapefruit, scallions, slivered almonds, and pine nuts. The dressing was olive oil, lime juice, black pepper, and apricot ginger mustard, which turned out well. Actually, the salad as a whole was pretty darned good; definitely worth repeating.
The fruitcake is good.
