From Y"K, or, sf geek at shul

The rabbi gave a d'var Torah that included mentioning that there are three places where the rabbis explain that more people fit than is reasonably possible:

1. when Moshe hits the rock, and everyone was gathered there
   
2. in the courtyard of the Temple (everyone fitting in on Y"K to worship and see the red thread turn white)
   
3. the Holy of Holies, which contains the Ark, is apparently (when one works out all the cubic cubitage) smaller than said Ark

And when I heard that last, all I could think was that the Holy of Holies must be a tardis :-)
