Now I've seen it, and gone back and read the spoiler-y stuff people posted last weekend. Definitely liked, and wished I'd seen the season more recently (though glad I'd seen it at all). Like everyone else, I very much liked it, though there were some kicks in the gut (and much more violent than the average episode). And there are stories I still want to know (another movie, another series, whatever works), though the overall plot worked really well.
Huzzah! I've seen the three movies I most wanted to see this month!

Side note: the Alewife Loews is off my list of preferred theaters. It was dirty (not only sticky floors but visible popcorn), and the screen too small. I already knew they don't have stadium seating. The only plus is the parking, I suppose, and that's not much of a plus. I'm glad we didn't stay to watch Serenity there; the effects were much better on a large screen.
My current favored movie theaters: the Kendall, Loews Boston Common, AMC Fenway, and the Coolidge. Also good: the Arlington Capitol, Davis, the huge Revere multiplex, and the Brattle.

Fresh Pond is a terrible theater. We only use it in desperation.

Somehow I hadn't realized before now, perhaps because I'd been seeing things on their larger screens. Or something.

I miss the huge screen in Worcester, with the curtain that opened, and a balcony. Tons of seating. Probably chopped into three little screens by now :-(.

Sounds like the theatre in Dedham where we saw The Brothers Grimm. We had to wipe our shoes off with Clorox wipes when we got home. We since learned our lesson and watched Corpse Bride at Fenway. We still have yet to see Serenity, although it's on the list.

I've never been to the Dedham theater; thanks for the warning. That sound horrible.

I also avoid Assembly Square. It was dirty, and the time I was there people talked through the whole thing.

Yeah, I stopped going to the Fresh Pond cinemas years ago for that reason. My top choices for mainstream movies are Boston Common and Fenway (the Capitol if I don't need to watch it within a month of release), with Revere a third. Problem for some with Revere, though, is that it is not T accessible, but it is a nice theater.

I admit, I tend to think of Revere as "far away," like Framingham. No good reason, just mental geography. And with more people I know going car-free, I agree that Revere's less useful.
