magidNow I've seen it, and gone back and read the spoiler-y stuff people posted last weekend. Definitely liked, and wished I'd seen the season more recently (though glad I'd seen it at all). Like everyone else, I very much liked it, though there were some kicks in the gut (and much more violent than the average episode). And there are stories I still want to know (another movie, another series, whatever works), though the overall plot worked really well.
Huzzah! I've seen the three movies I most wanted to see this month!
Side note: the Alewife Loews is off my list of preferred theaters. It was dirty (not only sticky floors but visible popcorn), and the screen too small. I already knew they don't have stadium seating. The only plus is the parking, I suppose, and that's not much of a plus. I'm glad we didn't stay to watch Serenity there; the effects were much better on a large screen.
My current favored movie theaters: the Kendall, Loews Boston Common, AMC Fenway, and the Coolidge. Also good: the Arlington Capitol, Davis, the huge Revere multiplex, and the Brattle.
