bits and pieces
May. 30th, 2005 06:52 pm- An unexpected side effect of the Mahoney's on Mem Dr. closing: that extra little block it was on is now closed off on Sundays like the rest of that stretch, which is annoying. I need to remember the traffic pattern has changed.
- Trader Joe's has kosher Pop Tarts! Well, toaster pastries, anyway. Nature's Path stuff is all organic, too. I had the Apple Cinnamon ones, and they're pretty nice. (Though I would've been very happy to never have seen the phrase '"kidalicious" EnviroKidzTM line" (of products).)
- I need to remember that I have addictive tendencies when it comes to games (sometimes reading, too, but I seem to have replaced games for books). Games that can be played solitaire, so I can keep on playing and playing and playing and playing... even when I know I need to stop. *sigh*
- There's a kosher pickle factory in Worcester! I got to sample their sours and half-sours, and yum! (I'm not even a big pickle fan, either.) Note, though, that the "small" container is one gallon, the large is four gallons.... Perhaps I need to host something at which I can serve lots of pickles :-).
- I got a couple of day passes from Healthworks. Anyone (female) interested?
- Happy (happy?) Memorial Day! (should that be Mem Day?) For the Britishers, happy Bank Holiday (is it the spring holiday?)

Date: 2005-05-30 09:19 pm (UTC)I'm planning to get a worm composter this time, though, since it's more designed to work on a porch (taking up less space, not as smelly, not needing contact with the ground), which is what I have.
(I tried getting one for the house, but I don't tend to remember to bring stuff down to the yard, for the three seasons it's accessible, and no one else used it. Hence, plan 2...)
