In addition to their regular season, the Boston Lyric Opera is also going to have opera on the Common this September. The dates haven't been announced yet, but it will be Aida. (No, I'm not going to figure out how to get the proper double dots over the i.)
Closer at hand is this summer's Commonwealth Shakespeare on the Common (Hamlet, July 16-August 7), and closer still (though not as much with the performance side of art) is this weekend's North Cambridge Open Studios (11-5), and next weekend's Brookline Open Studios.

Aïda == Aïda.
Of course, I never write "Aida" with the umlaut anyway! ;) I hope BLO isn't doing it in English like their Carmen a couple of years ago.

Date: 2005-05-12 10:18 am (UTC)I don't think there's a lot of detail yet about the performance; all they've announced is the month they're doing their (two) performances. Oh, and the rest of their 2005-2006 schedule, which is much more specific, not surprisingly.
