Earlier this week I finally got around to emailing Liberte, the company that makes my favorite six-grain fruited yogurt. Which, until recently, had been certified kosher. As I discovered with Farwing, the fruited ones are still certified, but the six-grain ones aren't. So I figured letting them know at least one person noticed wouldn't hurt.

This afternoon I got a reply:
We would like to assure you that nothing has been changed in our recipe, but according to Montréal Kosher some of our yogourt such as: plum and walnut, mocha, lemon, hazelnut, coconut, apple pie, marzipan/orange, banana split, date/fig/raisins and all 6 grains line, cannot be considered as kosher anymore. We are working in accordance with the Montreal Kosher rabbi to get the products autorized again. Please rest assure, this is something out of our control.

I hope they get it worked out soon.

And now I know that we're not getting the whole line in the stores I've seen. Marzipan-orange yogurt! Date-fig-raisin yogurt! Apple pie yogurt! They definitely sound worth trying.

(And I also know they likely more a Francophone company, if the English in this reply is anything to go on....)

I am sorry you can no longer enjoy certain varieties, because I personally consider them the best yoghurt available here on the local market. I was elated to find a supplier that uses the Bioghurt cultures, and they use them well. In the Netherlands and many other parts of Europe, you can get yoghurts of all kinds of textures and sourness, besides the additives of cereals and fruits. For the longest time it seemed to me that here I could only get one kind of cow's milk yoghurt, the same among all brands: the sour yoghurt cultured into hardness, and that all other differences were about how much sugarfruit was added.

I hope they get back on top of this.

Currently on my low carb days, I eat the plain variety. It is, compared to say, Stonyfield Farms, still amazing.

Growing up, I ate yogurt regularly. Somehow as an adult, that tapered, until I found these yogurts, which are excellent. I tried another (American) brand recently, and it was nothing in comparison.

OK, and I love the six grain types; the texture/taste is really nice. I think some of the other varieties are still certified; I should try those.
