Car inspection

magidI got my car inspected this morning, just in time: before the end of the month, and early enough in the day to get parking on the correct side of the street before snow flies.
It was harder to fit it in this year, not having a car commute. And they only do inspections until 6 pm or so, and on Shabbat, not Sunday. Which is not when I'm in the car these days. I don't understand why there aren't places to get a car inspected on Sunday; it's not as if a lot of the gas stations (and other places that do inspections) aren't open on Sundays anyway.
Oh, and as a side note: even were it not for Shabbat, I couldn't've gotten the car inspected Saturday: the statewide computer was down. I wonder if the state would give an extra day's leeway for getting the inspection done?
