More snippetage
Nov. 1st, 2004 04:06 pmSunday, there's going to be an open house at the BSO. Among other things (such as straight classical music performances, tours of the building, and an instrument petting zoo), there will be three silent movies with organ accompaniment (1:30, 6, and 7), and baseball tunes by the Red Sox Fenway Park organist (3:30).
Also Sunday there's a sale of African art, near Coolidge corner.
Good thing: finally setting up a 401(k) at the new job, even if there isn't matching.
Frustrating thing: not getting pay stubs. I have to go online and print them out myself. Also, the way the stubs are set up is a bit odd: they list the amounts going to my bank accounts with the post-tax deductions, so the final pay amount (or something) is zero. Bizarre.
Frustrating thing: turning down a lunch invitation due to a 1 pm meeting... that turned out to be cancelled, without an email being sent out. Grump.
Good thing: being able to get up and get to work earlier. I'm glad the clocks changed, even though it'll be dark soon.
