Ultimate veggies, week 19
Oct. 27th, 2004 11:55 pmThe last week. No more apples, just vegetables, including
This year has had: a bit more kale than I could handle, far too many green peppers (but no ripe ones, and not hot ones, either), mostly anemic tomatoes, and not enough interesting salad greens (not even any arugula). On the plus side, they did a good job with supplying the basics (onions, garlic, potatoes, carrots) fairly constantly, the fruit was good, and having the bags packed was helpful. I hope I get to give feedback.
And congrats to all the Sox fans. Especially the ones whose exuberance doesn't run to extreme noise.

- three red onions
- ten potatoes of various sizes
- three beets

Oh, and they have winter shares, which I can't do because pickup is between noon and 5 pm (I don't remember whether it's Tuesdays or Thursdays), out in Lincoln. It's every couple of weeks, though, so if your schedule is flexible, it might work for you (you drive to work, yes?).
(I'd happily give you green peppers and kale :-).
