Misc shorts, again

I wish I knew how I managed to get a bruise on the back of my hand. It's rather hurty, I assume because it's more bones than flesh there.

I had to get off the packed train I was on this morning. The announcement said it was going out of service, because it was "crippled". Not the first word I would think of.

Doors on one train had the message "Doors do not recycle." Which seemed an odd thing to say, since they obviously don't revolve, nor are they likely to be reused. I assume the intent was to tell people that the doors don't rebound (unlike most elevator doors), but I'm still a bit uncertain.

The Piazza San Marco is a trapezoid. Somehow, this pleases me. (Is it bad to have had a trapezoid-filled afternoon?)

I've wondered the same thing. I get concerned, especially in winter when more people are wearing big coats and long skirts, because when things are crowded it would be pretty easy for clothing and bags and such to get accidentally caught in the doors as people are leaving a train.

And people tend to carry a lot of stuff during the Getting Ready for the Holidays season, too. Yeah.
