Labor Day weekend
Sep. 7th, 2004 03:32 pmI had a mostly-nice1 weekend. No big events, just lots of time with people, plus managing to get some housely tasks done. I was particularly glad I made it to a house-warming, since there were people there I hadn't seen in ages and ages (plus I got to indulge my nosy side, getting the tour of the whole house (a single family one in Somerville; how strange :-)).
I spent a lot of money, for me, anyway. I now own a copy of Cities & Knights, though only in the 3-4 player version, and it's been used a couple of times already. Maybe I'll play well enough to win sometime soon. I have a new backpack (thanks to everyone who made suggestions), which should give me enough room to schlepp everything I could wish to work. Well, except for the armadillo, but there are issues bringing him on the T anyway. And now that the summer's over, I finally have new sandals that are nice enough to wear to work and sturdy enough to walk miles in. The only down side is that they're beige, but perhaps a black permanent marker would help.
And to end the weekend, my character didn't die, despite ending up in a rather unpleasant place temporarily.
1 The not-nice part of the weekend has been taken care of with antibiotics.
