I'm gluing metal keys onto painted wood. Does anyone know what kind of glue I should try instead? It doesn't have to be very strong, since I'll be using a sealant on the whole thing afterward.

A contact adhesive would probably be best, Evo-stick or UHu are brands here, don't know what they'd be called there. When using it, spread a thin layer on both surfaces and leave it for a few minutes to become tacky before pushing them together.

PVA (white glue) would probably do if it doesn't have to be that strong - use it in a similar way.

Thanks.

I was hoping to have something that wouldn't have too much lag time, since I've got a pattern worked out using about 30 keys and I didn't want to have to spend hours... but I should just put in the time to do it right. (I don't trust myself to remember exactly where to put each one if I try to do a number of them at the same time.)

I've already got white glue, so that's prolly what I'll end up using. Huzzah for Elmer's [brand name; don't know if they have it over there].
