- I've officially started a writing/editing/copyediting sole proprietorship, called SommerWorks. Email me (business name at gmail) if you'd like me to work on a project!
- DaveG has started Midnight Oil, a mechanic shop that's open late, at 36D Tremont Street, Melrose, MA 02176, 781-665-3737. (no website yet)

frobzwiththingz run Flying Squirrel Consortium, offering aerial silks classes in Littleton, MA.
majes has a downloadable card game, Rise Against Monsters, at 100% Gaming.- Matt has an exhibit of his photography at the Allston Public Library, From Flair to Flare, now through March 12 (FB event link).
- A bunch of people on my friend's list are involved in Emperor Norton's Stationary Marching Band (and they have a lot of upcoming gigs!).
- Miriam wrote a rap song Lemonade Queen.
chanaleh sings with Honorable Menschen.
hammercock is part of MIT's spring production of Yeoman of the Guard.- A number of people on my friends list are involved with Theatre @ First, which currently has a production of The Lady's Not For Burning, running through Feb. 26.
gilana offers design (web and print) at Rosenthol Design.
gnomi and
mabfan write a column on parenting at the Brookline Patch.
teddywolf does voice work, using a variety of voices.

hrafn makes wonderful wire ear cuffs and necklaces available at Feather Forge.- Tess makes some fun clothes and accessories, many of them brightly colored.
- Julie also makes fab upcycled accessories.
- Curious Alchemy sells leather masks, pockets, and more by Dmitri and Emily.
dancingdeer makes cool quilted bags.
electrictruffle offers wonderful hand-made chocolates (kosher certified) at Small Comfort Chocolates.
hildy9595 publishes Space and Time magazine.- Jacob is a blacksmith interested in making a variety of pieces, from traditional things like hooks to sculptures and signs.
- Rachel paints wonderful paintings, and is up for the Phoenix's Best of Boston artist!
- A couple of people on my friends list were involved in developing the 7 deck, a special deck of cards, along with games to play using them.
chaneleh also makes cool Judaica and a variety of buttons (the kind with pithy sayings).
gothique runs an art gallery, The Picklepot, and makes her own steampunk jewelry as well.
Arts Funding
- The electronica (house? dubstep? I really don't know the precise genres...) duo Zebbler Encanti Experience is raising money to afford going on tour with EOTO.
- Jason started The Performance LAB (which now stands for Liars And Believers, due to another group somewhere in the middle of the country having a similar name), and is raising money for a new show this spring based on Song of Songs.
- Madelaine has a Kickstarter page to have Madame Tullule's Grand Fiasco at Oberon.
- There's also a Kickstarter project to have outdoor Shakespeare in Davis Sq.

They're not used in any particular project (though I did print out a "10 Days In..."-style deck of cards) but I'm keeping track of other people's use of all my symbols at http://www.suberic.net/~dmm/astro/sightings.html .
