What a rainstorm! The highways were flooded, and there was a six-car accident on Rte 2E, in Arlington. And now the sky is clear. Flash! and it's gone.

I'm now out of season.

Kashkaval is a good thing.

However, a non-local person giving out my phone number to a not-quite-random SJM (single Jewish male) without asking me first is not such a good thing, whether or not the SJM is reasonably in the ball park. Or rather, it may or may not end up being a good thing, but how it was done annoys me.

I wasn't too fond of parsley until I started living in Greece, where it's used to flavor certain dishes. That and learning to make tabbouleh helped. I like the taste, esp. of flat-leaf parsley. But oh well ... not everybody does.

The shidduch situation sounds very frustrating. Waiting to see what the other person says can be so horrible. Several of the guys I was set up with never even bothered to call the shadchan -- gee, thanks. (Yes, I do have stories that we can swap if we ever meet ... but if you want to check out other horror stories, take a look at www.unbrokenglass.com.)

I've just read a few, and, well, some of them sound so familiar. Different actual stories, but some of the feelings...

(I wish I liked parsley more, especially since it's the usual substitute for cilantro, which I can't eat at all.)

I'm partial to the site, for a few reasons:

1) The stories are funny.
2) She is a good writer, IMO.
3) I've managed to get a couple of stories posted there. (Hooray for ego trips.)
4) And it is now set up for a happy ending, G-d willing.

2) Yes, though I found the site hard to navigate, being so used to how LJ is set up.
