Dave Barry reports, I personally thought that it was fine display of presidential leadership, and I want to take this opportunity to remind you voters that I, too, have worn a military flight suit.
Sigh. Sad but true. The comedians (Barry, and particularly Jon Stewart on The Daily Show (http://www.comedycentral.com/tv_shows/thedailyshowwithjonstewart)) are doing a much better job of reporting the perversity of this administration than the American news media. Don't miss the rerun of Iraq: A Look Baq tonight and Monday if you have Comedy Central!
My impression is that TV news shows frequently don't have enough time to tell the news, what with the ads, and the chit-chat between announcers, and the vast time spent on sports and weather...
I often feel like I'm avoiding the news, keeping my head in the sand so I won't hear the latest greatest outrage, actually. It's pathetic how much stupidity is going on in US politics these days (and flowing outward from here to the rest of the world).
