Ta'am China apparently had a kitchen fire this weekend, and will be closed for a month for renovations. I hope their insurance covers everything.

According to WBUR this morning, Logan is going to have another first: first airport in the nation to have security personnel (military?) with submachine guns. Ack.

Pronunciation peeve: it's "et cetera," not "eck cetera."

I thought it was supposed to be April showers... Though a nice spring rain is a lovely thing.

Submachine guns? What on earth for?!?

To make sure that everyone finally takes Logan security seriously. 'Cause we all know that the "improvements" haven't done anything to change the laughing-stock status.

Like Bitty said. 'Cause you know that when someone tries to smuggle that penknife on board, you need to have real fire power around to deal with it.

How useful is a submachine gun in the middle of a crowded airport, unless the wielder is the terrorist? Sheesh.

Perhaps they anticipate being stormed by some hostile force?

And in that case, civilians be damned, as it were?
Ugh.

Damn the civilians; full speed ahead!

Which circle of the damned should they go to?

What's in Farragut Square?

Oh mannnn.... I hope I don't get sick. The hot and sour soup of joy, gone for a month...

Ah well. I guess I'll have to see if Shalom Hunan has improved.

I was thinking of you when I read about the fire, actually...

*sigh*

Thanks.

Has Shalom Hunan actually started putting pepper and garlic in their spicy dishes?
