Miscellany
Feb. 13th, 2003 10:46 amI just saw a cute enameled plate. Around the edge was: A is for apple, B is for ball, C is for car, D is for dog. In the middle: E = mc2. :-)
Helped load a van full of donated clothes and stuff for Rosie's place. It's fricking cold out, espec ially since I hadn't grabbed my coat. It felt strangely overheated when I came back in, though.
I, like T_W, am so ready for the stupid WBUR promotion to end. It must today, right?
OTOH, it has meant listening to more music during the commute this week. I don't know who elected it the week of Cyndi Lauper and ZZTop, but I keep hearing their songs this week, more than I have in the last year, at least.
Why do I procrastinate so much on certain things that are just not a bi g deal, until I don't do them for too long? I mean, it takes about how long to write a check, or make a phone call, or write an email? But I put it off, because I don't want to deal, and the pushing it off makes it that much harder to do later, since there's now a pile of uncomfortableness stacked on top of the original disinclination to deal. Feh.

And some that are pleasant but take the mental effort to think about get pushed back while doing the other things. I speak from unfortunate experience.
It's one of the things I appreciate about being with Tigerlily - one of the detail bits (actually paying the bills) she handles with relative ease and aplomb. That one's the stickiest for me. The other ones aren't so bad; so I'm only about (checks) 3 months behind on my email now :-)
