Notes from a commute
Nov. 4th, 2002 07:34 amBillboard for some radio celebrity: "He puts the fun in dysfunctional." And this is to get me to listen?
Gravestones under yellow-leaved trees, one marked with the name Deady.
Would you rather drop a commuter at at "pick up and drop off," or (what I think of as Canadian, since I saw it in Toronto (Yes, I went to Toronto. No, I didn't have it removed.)) "kiss and ride"?
I still don't understand how having the current president stumping for so many candidates nationwide would (a) help the candidates, or (b) give him time to govern the country. Is someone really going to vote for someone because the president, working only on the party line, says he supports this person? It's like celebrity endorsements of food products, but worse, since he's trying to stack the deck in his favor, as it were. On second thought, perhaps it's better without (b)?
