Dear Macy's
Dec. 22nd, 2012 06:32 pmDear Macy's:
Your ad for a recent sale confuses me: how can it be a "1-day sale" when you're open for 48 hours? In checking a table of our solar system's planetary day lengths, it suggests that you might be on Mercury, which has a 58-hour day, though that does suggest a bit of carelessness in advertising on Earth.
Or perhaps you were assuming Earth would slow in its axial rotation to allow more of the population to take advantage of the presumably-special commercial possibilities you offer? I believe there would be severe weather consequences, as well as species' diurnal problems, among others.
In future, please keep to accepted astronomic norms.
Yours,
Magid
