In addition to their regular season, the Boston Lyric Opera is also going to have opera on the Common this September. The dates haven't been announced yet, but it will be Aida. (No, I'm not going to figure out how to get the proper double dots over the i.)

Closer at hand is this summer's Commonwealth Shakespeare on the Common (Hamlet, July 16-August 7), and closer still (though not as much with the performance side of art) is this weekend's North Cambridge Open Studios (11-5), and next weekend's Brookline Open Studios.

Anyone want a pass for two to an advance screening of Cinderella Man? The screening is 7 pm Wednesday May 18 at the Harvard Square Loews, though of course you'd have to show up rather earlier than that to ensure seating...
