I'm going to be in Manhattan next weekend (family bar mitzvah :-). I haven't heard of any family meals other than on Shabbat, so I'm free to go whither I will.

So, does anyone have recommendations for kosher restaurants?
I'd like places that (a) aren't exhorbitant and (b) have food I don't get (or make) in Boston, so Indian or Thai would be particularly interesting. Really, though, anything not Chinese is good.

a comet that falls to the ground: exorbitant

Basil is starting to taste just the tiniest bit like licorice to me. I wonder if the plants are related.

The cauliflower obssession may be waning; I've had one in the fridge all week without roasting it. Though part of the reason may be about my lack of will to cook for just me. It's not good, not to have motivation, and it seems to be spreading. Sigh.

Must must must get my bike in for a tune-up.
Also must buy some skirts; I somehow have an insufficient supply. It would be good to do laundry, too.
Plus all the usual around-the house things I've let slip. Where did all the energy I used to have go, anyway?

Done
  1. Paid mortgage and medical bill.
  2. Brought bike in for a tune-up (ready Monday).
  3. Got a free lightbulb at Tag's.
  4. Finally figured out how to open the light fixture in the bathroom, and replaced the dead bulb. Hm, higher wattage than previously.
  5. Got a splinter in the sole of my foot.
  6. Roasted cauliflower.
  7. Chocolate chip banana bread.
  8. Cleaned out the mouse.
  9. Did the dishes.

Not yet done
  1. Laundry and yet more laundry.
  2. Pick up the book waiting for me at Pandemonium (See 5, above.).
  3. Return library books.

On a totally unrelated note, this is just to mention that those who have a Fleet ATM card can go to museums for free, for the month of May, anyway.
