Blooming...

Today it was warm enough that most of the snow and ice we got yesterday melted, at least from shoveled areas. Which meant that tonight, as what little liquid was left refroze in the cooling night, there were blooming sidewalks, filled with frost ferns and flowers, gorgeous shapes gleaming in the moonlight, each different. It seemed appropriate for going to a (day after) Tu B'Shvat seder to appreciate trees and the fruits they give us.
