Short takes
Jun. 26th, 2003 11:52 amCotyledon update: not only do I have creeping time sprouting at the office (really, the day isn't going that slowly!), I also have morning glories started at home: I saw the first leaves yesterday. I don't think I've seen them this young before; their newbie leaves look like little green butterflies with touches of purple that have landed on the soil.
Not only is there a dog bakery in Boston (Fi-Dough, on Charles Street)(I, of course, keep wanting to go in and ask for something like a poodle danish), there's also doggy day care. With its own bus for picking up/dropping off the pampered pooches in question.
Really, I would've been fine with sunny and cool. The 90s are too hot for me; I hate taking a shower and finding myself sweating so much even before my hair dries.
I caved yesterday, and started reading HP5. I'm about 40% done, so not ready for any spoilers (lalalalala... I can't read any spoilers if I sing loud enough. Wait, that doesn't quite work... :-). I think it's about 5 hours of reading left.
I hope the orker who broke his right collarbone heals quickly. I wonder how long it will be until he's able to do things again.
And then there's all that real-world stuff, the Supreme Court decision overturning the TX sodomy laws, the ramping-up for the presidential elections, the ongoing questions about the Bulger brothers, the finding of Molly Bish's remains (at least her parents have closure, but how awful)...
