started more with a whimper, unfortunately.
after a fun start to the evening down at the boston festivities, etc, i decided i was too tired for anything else, might (finally) have an early(ish) night of it, or at least be quiet at home, then bed at a semi-reasonable hour. but it was not to be: an urgent email, a replying phone call, and off to the medical area to see friends who were hit by a (expletives deleted) person driving a car irresponsibly in jp. (hospitals turn out to be an even greater time sink than airports.)
thank goodness, both seem to be in stable conditions now, nothing that won't heal over time (i hope.). but definitely not what i'd hoped for 2002.....
the rest of the year WILL get better (definitely will once i get some sleep....)
