Farm share, week 4
Jun. 27th, 2018 06:38 pm- a bunch of beets (I chose golden over chioggia, despite not having as nice greens, because chioggia are my least favorite beets)
- four summer squash (I chose what was left, golden zucchini, which is exciting)
- 14 small pickling cucumbers
- a huge bunch of green kale
- a big bunch of scallions
- two heads of green leaf lettuce
- a big bag of mixed salad greens (traded for another bunch of scallions; that was the only thing I have some left from last week)
- five stalks of broccoli (large ones, too)
- a third of a pound of lion's mane mushrooms
First thoughts: green salad, of course, with lettuce, cucumber, scallion. Not sure if I'll roast the zucchini or make some kind of relish/other canning thing. Use the kale and beet greens together, maybe with sweet potato, or maybe with beans and lemon. Cook the broccoli with scallions, tofu, miso, ginger, maybe mushrooms, etc.
