Should I do something else?
Sep. 18th, 2014 02:47 pmLast night I was heading to Market Basket when a van turned too tightly going into a parking lot, clipping the driver's side light of the car parked next to the entrance. I walked over to see how much damage there was, and the guy driving the van got out, said he'd park the van, then "deal with it." I was tired and hungry (hadn't managed a second meal of the day, despite being almost 8 P.M.), so I went on to get the groceries I needed. I did stop off on my way back, and there wasn't a note on the windshield, which left me concerned. I left a note of my own, saying that the person who'd rented the nearby Zipvan during that time was the one who'd done it, and an email address for me. Today, the car has moved, and I'm left wondering about the denoument to the story. Should I have contacted ZipCar? The police? I don't know.
eta, 1516 I typed too soon: I just got an email from the owner of the car; he's made a police report, and wanted to check if it was ok to have them and/or his insurance company contact me. So things are moving towards finding the person trying to shirk the consequences of his actions.
Also, apparently it is the season for me to be editing posts.
