Winter share, 1 of 4

The winter share has two distributions in November and two in December. Happily, the distributions are Thursday afternoons, which works well for me.

This week's share:

• two small winter squashes (I chose dumpling over delicata)
  
• one and a half pounds of carrots
  
• one and a half pounds of small red-skinned potatoes
  
• one and a half pounds of turnips (I chose purple-top ones over red ones)
  
• a head of tat soi or a stalk of broccoli (I chose the latter)
  
• three narrow leeks
  
• half a pound of spinach
  
• half a pound of salad greens
  
• a stalk of Brussels sprouts
  
• a bunch of kale or collards (I chose the latter)
  
• a head of purple radicchio
