[mostly local] Upcoming events

magidMy friend Jason has a new show, 28 Seeds (a collaboration of Liars and Believers and Walter Sickert's Army of Broken Toys) that opened last week at the BCA (runs through May 12).
(I'm also excited because a previous show I liked a lot, Le Cabaret Grimm has made it into the NY Musical Theatre Festival this July!)
Also already in progress is Cambridge's science festival, which has a ton of (mostly free) things going on all over the city through this Sunday.
edit Which also includes a trebuchet* competition, with the already-started teams showing off what they've made this coming Sunday, 4-6 PM, on Cambridge Common.
* apparently, "trebuchet" hasn't made it into a variety of spellcheck programs yet

Next weekend (well, Thursday through Sunday) is Harvard's festival of the arts, which includes not only more traditional art performances (music, theater, dance, etc), but also a powwow, which I'm curious about.
The first weekend in May is Somerville Open Studios.
Saturday May 19 is Somerville's Porchfest, which is lots musicians making a lot of kinds of music on porches around the city.
Thursday May 24 (from 3 to 7 PM) is an open house to see the herring fish ladder at the Mystic River in Medford.
The first weekend in June is Boston's FIGMENT, with NYC's on Governor's Island the following weekend. What will you bring?
