[local eating] Farm share, week 12
Aug. 24th, 2011 05:23 pm- two pounds of eggplants (mostly tiny Asian ones)
- three and a half pounds of potatoes (I chose ones that look yellow-fleshed, rather than red-skinned)
- a head of Napa cabbage
- a bunch of green curly kale
- two heads of lettuce (red leaf)
- two pounds of bell peppers (I chose mostly purple ones, and one pale (think wax bean color))
- a head of broccoli
- a head of radicchio
- four pounds of tomatoes
I also ordered a half bushel (about 20 pounds) of plum tomatoes; I'll be drying a bunch, and possibly making sauce to can as well.
Last week's gift of eggplant and green pepper got roasted, some with farm share zucchini; yum.
