Food for Shabbat (mostly)
Mar. 27th, 2009 05:11 pmThursday night soup: onions, carrots, parsnips, potatoes, yellow-eyed peas, roman beans, parsley, lavender, dried garlic chips, salt and pepper
Shabbat soup: leftovers of the above with the addition of a couple of chicken thighs
turkey meatloaf: ground turkey, gluten-free oat bread crumbs (from the last time the Imperfects were over), dried garlic chips, ketchup, hot sauce, brown miso paste
roasted green beans (these were snacked upon earlier today)
baked sweet potatoes
pickled red onions
chicken thighs baked with the last of the boozy apricots plus ginger spread
green salad if I get inspired
apple slices baked with ground walnutsl and Lyle's golden syrup
Brought to my hosts' for lunch: green leaf lettuce, hearts of palm, and pink grapefruit sections for a salad.
(Why, yes, it is use-up-open-containers-in-the-fridge time. :-)
