The onions are conventional, the apples IPM, and everything else is organic.
In other farm share news, I got a newsletter from Red Fire Farm (my summer farm share), and they're offering egg shares for the first time! It's exciting, but I don't know whether I'll be getting one, since it's at least $5/dozen*, and I can get nice local eggs more cheaply elsewhere. Still, the draw is there... and they even have a video of the chicks that will be laying said eggs (amateurish, but cute).
* Shares start in early August this year and go through the CSA season, either October or December.

Date: 2009-03-11 11:29 pm (UTC)Wow, you are such a patronizing jerk. They're hardly even born, just getting their legs under them, and you have the arrogance and gall to criticize their future egg-laying ability? I'm sorry: that's just plain mean.
Oh -- you meant the video was amateurish. Never mind then. ;)
