Anyone with a connection to Cambridge can submit a couple of lines
inspired by the city for the Cambridge
Community Poem
. Deadline is May 11; email Cambridge's poet
populist (yes, that's a real position, with an actual stipend and all,
new as of two years ago) Peter Payack: poetpopulist at cambridgema dot
gov.

A listing of CSAs,
including prices and delivery municipalities.

A Boston-area pothole
map
that anyone can update.

An historical place I hadn't heard of before: the Old Schwamb Mill,
in Arlington. Open to the public Tuesdays and Saturdays from 11:00 AM
to 3:00 PM (which is to say, useless to me unless I have Tuesday off
sometime, but hey).

The current shows at the Boston
Sculptors Gallery
look interesting.

Thank you for the CSA list...I've been dithering between the Cambridge Jew one and one that does dropoffs at the Allston Farmer's Market (both involve my getting in a car) and one where I have to schlep but maybe, just maybe, the kids'll enjoy and maybe even get a clue where food comes from. Nice to have a listing in one place.

Glad it's useful! I've found with every farm share I've had that it's encouraged to go out to the farm at least once or twice a season, for pick your own stuff, for instance. Not sure whether that makes any difference.
