Shabbat food
Feb. 13th, 2009 04:15 pm- golden grape juice, white wheat rolls with flaxseed meal
- mostly root vegetable soup: onion, celeriac, red kale, carrot, and parsnip, with curry, and pureed to thick soupness
- roasted zucchini, summer squash, and green pepper
- green salad with red and green leaf lettuce, cucumber, tomato, feta, and six-grain and pumpkin seed croutons (and perhaps other things, if I'm inspired)
- spicy tofu sauteed with green chard and onions
- baked sweet potatoes
- baked apples, cranberries, and orange with sugar and golden grape juice
As usual, everything but the salad is done (um, except I have to remember to take the rolls out of the oven). And while I don't have the time/inclination to do more to the sweet potatoes for Shabbat, I suspect any leftover sweet potatoes will be sauteed with onions, chickpeas, and cumin.
